CROP was founded by Irene Ivison whose 17-year-old daughter Fiona was groomed, sexually exploited and later coerced into street prostitution by a known perpetrator. Three weeks after being forced into prostitution, Fiona was murdered by a client.

The killer was subsequently prosecuted and received a life sentence for Fiona’s murder but the sexual exploiter, the pimp, was not touched by any legal process. Irene rightly believed that the man who sexually exploited Fiona for his own personal gain was equally responsible for Fiona’s tragic death.

National news coverage of the circumstances surrounding Fiona’s murder resulted in other parents, who recognised that their children were being similarly groomed and sexually exploited, contacting Irene. And, so, CROP was born...
