Challenging behaviour

Sexually exploited children exhibit a range of challenging behaviour which parents have to cope with. Examples include:

  • violence;
  • being extremely difficult to live with by showing disturbed behaviour, being hurt and hurting others, and not open to reasonable discussion;
  • truanting;
  • crime; and
  • going missing from home.
 

Understanding Sexual Exploitation

A child is a person under the age of 18. Typically, perpetrators target children aged between 11 and 15.
