The toolkit can be easily adapted to suit the varying needs of specific audiences. Subject areas include: understanding CSE; CSE from parents’ perspectives; the impact of CSE; supporting parents and carers; CSE policy and legislation; and record keeping and information sharing.
Child Sexual Exploitation: A Compendium of Training, Aravinda Kosarju and Dalia Hawley (CROP 2009)
A compendium of available specialist training on child sexual exploitation in England and Wales compiled by CROP as part of the research and development work funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It is based on a six month survey audit of CSE training conducted during 2008–09.
The training audit covers training offered by local safeguarding children boards, voluntary organisations and police forces. It lists available training nationally across nine regions in England and Wales, and provides specific details including who the training is for, what the training covers, how to access it and what training resources have been developed by different agencies offering CSE training.
